This cookbook is a go to for any night of the week. I highly recommend it for anyone who loves food, loves to cook, and doesn't have hours to prep. I order and experiment with cookbooks as if I get paid to do it (I don't). So many of them look promising and beautiful but under deliver. I have tried 12 of the recipes in this book and they have all turned out spectacular! They all work. Which is saying something. One of the best parts is that the recipes are also simple, it doesn't take days of even hours of prep to get a delicious healthy meal on the table. My 8 year old son loves that he gets to be part of building his own bowl, he can pick and choose what he wants to put in it. Often times he can't help himself and tries everything just because it feels like a fun experiment.Bonus: Nicki shares tip and tricks for shortcuts, there is a conversion chart, and to top it all off the index is super easy to use!

I'm in love with this cookbook! The idea of combining fresh, flavorful, whole foods to create a one-bowl meal is so appealing, and after trying a few of the recipes, I'm hooked. Our favorite so far is the Crunchy Vietnamese-Inspired Chicken & Rice Salad. I even took author Nicki Sizemore's advice and tried it with black rice (nuttier than brown rice, and absolutely delish!). We also loved her Asian Meatballs with Sesame Broccoli and the vegetarian Mujadarra with Caramelized Onions. Nicki's recipes have inspired me to venture out of my comfort zone and try new grains, spices, and sauces (her Garlic Yogurt is to DIE for!). If you're a cookbook lover like me, you'll have as much fun poring over the beautifully photographed pages as you will choosing recipes and making meals. A wonderful addition to the cookbook shelf!

I am a mom who is always looking for new, healthy recipes to put together for my family. I have no creativity whatsoever! This cookbook makes it so easy! The recipes are not only easy to follow, but they are super healthy and delicious. There is something for everyone. I am excited to try each and every one of them. This is my second cookbook by Nicki Sizemore and I love it just as much as the first. She makes cooking (which is normally a chore for me) fun! I would HIGHLY recommend!!

I am a mom of 4 young kids (10 and under) and the struggle is real to come up with healthy, quick meals that ALL 6 of us like! I love that this cookbook is full of complete meals that are packed with flavor, super healthy, quick enough to make on a busy weeknight (the Make Ahead Options are life savers!) and help me introduce my kids to new ingredients that they haven't tried before. This cookbook completely takes the guess work out of "what should we make with that chicken?" etc. I also love the cooking and ingredient tips sprinkled throughout the cookbook! I feel like I'm getting educated while I'm cooking! This is my second cookbook of Nicki Sizemore's and I have to say that I'm already looking forward to her next!!

I love this cookbook. I am not a great cook and I don't have a lot of time so, I am trying to eat healthy food that can be ready in a hurry. This book offers a lot of very flavorful options for doing that. The meals are very satisfying.

I really like and have tried most of the recipes in this book. Helpful advice on prep, selection, and execution of some tasty bowls. Well written with a little humor thrown in but not enough pictures of the finished product! All and all a good inspiration for those looking to eat healthier.

This book is just what I needed for fast but healthy food that everyone could eat. The author answered all my questions as if she knew what I wanted. I will use this book over and over.
